Deluxe Chocolate Marshmallow Bars (Mary Smith)F
Chocolate marshmallow bar.
Ingredients
- ¾ cup butter
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 3 tbsp cocoa
- 1 ½ cups chocolate chips
- 3 tbsp margarine
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 2 cups rice krispies
- 4 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions
- Cream together butter and sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
- Mix together flour, baking powder, salt, and cocoa.
- Stir dry ingredients into butter mixture.
- Spread batter into a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-18 minutes.
- While baking, melt chocolate chips, margarine, and peanut butter over low heat or in a double boiler, stirring often.
- When smooth, stir in rice krispies.
- Spread the chocolate mixture carefully over the marshmallows on the baked base.
- Cut into squares.
- Sprinkle about 4 cups mini marshmallows over the hot base.
- Put back in the oven for 2-3 minutes until marshmallows melt slightly.
